~ This recipe is so quick and easy that you will have creamy, dreamy almond milk in no time! ~
Prep time: 10 minutes (does not include the soaking of almonds overnight)
Cook time: No cooking required
Serves: Makes 800ml of Almond Milk
Ingredients
1 cup almonds that have been soaked overnight, rinsed and drained
3.5 cups fresh filtered water
A pinch of salt (optional)
1 tsp maple syrup (optional)
Equipment
A cold pressed juicer that has the option to make nut milk (I am using the Biochef Quantum Juicer, I will put a link for it at the end of this recipe)
I am using the extra fine strainer
A large bowl
A large sieve with a handle
1L sterilised glass jar
Directions
Add your almonds to the glass bowl and the fresh filtered water. Using a small measuring cup or glass, scoop some water and almonds into it. Try and scoop equal parts water and almonds at the same time if you can. Now pour it down the feeding shute at the top of the machine. Go at a nice pace, not too quickly as you want the machine to extract the milk well. Do this until you have used up all the almonds and water.
Place the sieve over the bowl and pour in the almond milk from the jug of the juicer. There should only be a little bit of pulp, go ahead and strain it. Add in the salt and maple syrup if you’re using it. Now pour the milk back into your clean glass jar, seal it and store it in the fridge. It should keep for up to 3-4 days. Enjoy!

The Biochef Quantum Cold Pressed Juicer really is wonderful. It not only juices fruits and vegetables but it also makes nut milks, fruit sorbets (from frozen fruit) and nut butters. It’s a great machine and a very good investment. Not only is it versatile but it is extremely quick and easy to clean! I am really happy with my purchase and it has a life time warranty.
This post is not sponsored. I am just sharing my opinion and review on this machine.
Cook’s note: You could still make this same recipe doing it the old fashioned way with a nut milk bag and blender. The little added salt and sweetener just gives it a really nice balance.
