Ingredients
1/3 cup oats
1/2 cup almond milk
1/2 cup filtered water
1/4 tsp mixed spice
1/2 tsp rice malt syrup
1 tsp ground flax seeds
1 banana half chopped and half sliced
1/2 pear sliced
4 strawberries cut in half
1 tsp cacao nibs
1 tsp sesame seeds
1 tsp pepita seeds
1 tsp hemp seeds
Method
In a small pot add the oats, mixed spice, rice malt syrup, ground flax seeds, milk and water on medium heat and bring to a boil. Turn the heat down and simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Pour the porridge into a bowl and top with the rest of the ingredients.
Cooks note: The flax seeds will thicken the porridge up so you can add a little more water or milk if you want it creamier.
